Keeping in view, the present situation of the Admission Committee Meeting held on 15 July 2021, GU has released the official notification for GAUHATI UNIVERSITY PG Admission Form Fill Up 2021-22 process. Shortly, Gauhati University is going to launch its online Post Graduation (PG) admission form fill up a portal to the place eligible aspiring and candidates will be capable to fill online application form for Post Graduate courses.

Entrance Exam Date:
In the previous year, No Entrance Exam Test was held in any PG courses for both the University Dept and Affiliated colleges of the University for the 2020-2021 session. Admissions were based totally strictly on the overall performance and eligibility standards of the respective qualifying examination.
In the current year, Gauhati University has declared that a Common Entrance Test will be conducted by the Gauhati University ((both for the University Departments and the Affiliated Colleges of the University)for GU PG admission 2021 into various postgraduate courses for the session 2021-22.
(চলিত বৰ্ষত, গৌহাটি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ঘোষণা কৰিছে যে 2021-22 অধিৱেশনৰ বাবে বিভিন্ন স্নাতকোত্তৰ পাঠ্যক্ৰমত Post Graduate নামভৰ্তিৰ বাবে গৌহাটি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ৰ (বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বিভাগ আৰু বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ৰ অনুমোদিত মহাবিদ্যালয় দুয়োটাৰ বাবে) এক উমৈহতীয়া প্ৰৱেশ পৰীক্ষা অনুষ্ঠিত কৰা হ’ব।)
It is clearly declared that admissions will be based strictly on the performance and eligibility criteria of the Entrance Examination.
Eligibility for GU Post Graduate admission 2021:
BA/ B.Sc /B.Com. (in 10+2+3 pattern) with major / honors courses in the concerned subject or BA/B.Sc /B Com. (in 10+2+3 pattern) with a common pass-by direction with at least 45% marks in the worrying subject for GU PG Admission 2021.
Reservation:
i) In Admission into the Traditional Program of Study, 80% of the total intake will be reserved for Gauhati University Students. The last 20% will be reserved for different than Gauhati University Students.

ii) As per Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education, Govt. of India vide Notification Nol2-4/2019-U1 dated 7h January 2020, Weaker Section (EWS) i.e. 10% from the unreserved class will be reserved into the extraordinary Post Graduate Courses for the University Departments and the Affiliated Colleges of the University.
Admission Fees:(According to old notification)
All charges relating to admission into special Post Graduate Courses of University Departments and the Affiliated Colleges of Gauhati University for the session 2021-22 have been waived in accordance with notification No.AHE.639/2018/16 dated 10th(10) June 2020 from Higher Education Department, Govt. of Assam.
Application Fees: 250/- (According to old notification)
